Our Team
Carol Gancia, Layaco's Executive Producer, has been a video and television production entrepreneur for 15 years. Working with Fortune 500 companies and international foundations, she has earned numerous awards for both her production skills and talents and her strong business acumen. In 2004, she received a business plan award from the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center. Carol produces both for the television and corporate video industries. She has worked on wide-ranging projects from food-related television programs to corporate productions for eBay, Google and many other successful visionary companies. From 2006 to 2008, She earned three Emmy awards for her work as an Associate Producer at KQED, the Public Television station serving the San Francisco bay area.
Angelina Cantada, Layaco's Visual Storyteller, is a multi-talented director, shooter, writer and editor of corporate videos. In 2006, she won a Gold Award for her video work on "Enter To Serve, Leave to Learn," a video podcast produced for SHCP, a prestigious private highschool in San Francisco. In 1999, she brought home a silver medal for her television documentary work from the New York Festivals for TV and Film. Angelina also does professional photography work as an extension of her services to video clients. She earned her second Bachelor of Fine Arts degree Major in Photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Angelina runs Layaco's Vancouver office and works with clients in the B.C. and Seattle areas.
Daniel Ogawa, Layaco's Creative Consultant and Writer, has a deep background in both film and network television production. He has over 20 years of creative experience in top New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco bay area corporations such as Apple, NBC, Warner Brothers and now, KQED. Through the years, he has garnered numerous Emmy awards and nominations from both local and network television shows he has worked on. He excels in writing documentaries as well as technology, science and health-related video stories. His labor relations background from Cornell University, coupled with years of TV and corporate video production experience in the finance field has also proven to be a great asset to Layaco during its day-to-day business operations.
